So I just got back from some Avril Lavigne Lookalike contest thing in Subang Parade, of which I am covering for R.Age. Now, nothing about the girls (I think they’re all really gutsy, even and especially the 8 year-old ones prancing around in fishnets), but that damned song.

Hey, you listen to Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend about 17 times in a row and tell me if your ears don’t bleed.

What pisses me off also is my damned shithouse assbacksidebontotfathermucking camera—I had finally made it to the front of the papparazzi line, and had perfect photo ops–Jaclyn Victor, Daniel Lee (once again, cute meh? :/) with the winners and dangnammit it dies—both sets of batteries, fully drained!

Ok maybe it’s time for me to get new rechargables but SO MANY WASTED AWESOME PICTURES SHIT I NEED A NEW CAMERA RAAAAAWWWWWR.

The shopping hiatus remains, still! And I’d been walking around for almost an hour, waiting for the event to start. For those of you who don’t realise what a bigbloodydeal this is, well, dahlings, shopping to me is like what air is to tyres and what hot oil is to prawn crackers—it completes me, it is my raison d’etre!

So yes, I’m proud.

Anyway, this post’s raison d’etre happens to be to make you all aware of AWAM’s Count Me In Walk&Wheel charity event to promote safety especially in urban spaces such as our lovely, overpopulated and extremely unsafe Klang Valley. Read up about it here! and make sure you sign up.

It’s only RM25 people, you get a shirt out of it and will get to see some awesome local bands, plus raise awareness for something that is cause for concern for everyone, i.e. your safety—because how often do we leave the house thinking ‘Oh please don’t let me get mugged/raped/robbed/beaten to death/kidnapped…’

It’s to be held in Dataran Merdeka on the 30th of June at 4pm till 10pm.
